Pros

Decent wage for entry level position out of college.

During the onboarding process, myself and the group of other new hires were told that we will be given assessments and if we fail we would be let go. What was the point of the interview process if you will be giving us assessments to determine our future at the company? I'm sure it varies based on the client site you are assigned to but the management in McLean, VA care very little about the employees. There is no transparency about any of their decision making. Management moved me to a new team but failed to tell me until I had already missed a few meetings on my new team because I was unaware of the change. I don't know how upper management, my old manager, and my new manager all failed to tell me. Especially my old manager since I was working on his team and attending daily stand ups when I wasn't supposed to. The performance reviews take too long to complete. I had a review to be done in June and it wasn't completed by HR and management until February of the following year. It took them 8 months to complete a performance review. Most of the employees at the client site seem to be visa holders. You can see they are abused and just accept it because they fear losing their jobs. They don't want to lose their visa. The benefits are not good. The 401k match is 0.04% of your annual salary. Only 10 days of PTO accumulated over the year.

Pros

They gave me a job when I was running out of money. They had lots of courses that helped me learn how AI agents work. Very good health insurance

Cons

Absolutely no managerial support. No career advancement opportunities. I was basically hired to fill a chair in a staff aug capacity because someone at the client company thought there might be a need. There wasn't. And there was no way to get other work in other departments at the client company because it impacted billing and departmental budgets, and Hexaware didn't want to bother with that. But Hexaware was not interested in reassigning me, so after about 10 months of doing very little, I was let go by the client company so I could be replaced by a Java developer, which makes a lot more sense, since this was a back end team, and I'm a UX designer. Hexaware only allows a few weeks on the bench, and they had no work to put me on, so I was let go. Nobody said goodbye. They didn't even give me a computer. I had to use my own computer for this assignment.
