Pros
+ Good products + Interesting people work there + Customers have a great attitude about the company + Vacation policy is good, and people do not call you while on vacation + Pay is reasonable for the expectation of work + Actively work on culture
Cons
- European, germanic company: very centralized control, rigid, and Americans considered 2nd class citizens - Micromanagement from above: approval levels and red tape a hindurance to business - Not entrepreneurial - Put emphasis on perception versus fact driven reality - Best are not rewarded based on results - Management is hypocritical and creates barriers instead of removing them - DM level and above are out of touch with what really happens - Title inflation: everyone is a Director - Training looks good, but is superficial - Career advancement is hard to negotiate - Too much change to accomplish anything significant - Process oriented, but the processes are broken, slow, and don't get results - There is no real business plan - Variable compensation is a crap shoot as it changes frequently or seems to be based on subjective requirements
