Pros

Work life balance is really important to the employer, forward career advancement is encouraged, transferring to different departments is allowed and encouraged, quarterly employee recognition events, family environment, on the job training, work from home once a week, team member travel discounts (family and friends included) for anywhere around the world, the salary is comparable or greater then other revenue companies, job security, discounts on mattresses and other misc items, 401 k match, benefits are awesome: dental, medical, vision, met law, etc. Really my time at Hilton has been a blessing and feel so strongly about the company, that I recommend this company to all my friends.

Cons

Currently there are no stock options offered to team members. Sometimes the work can be tedious.

Pros

The location in Belltown is good, very close to downtown."

Cons

Workplace abuse and lack of empathy in Housekeeping I want to share my account as a former employee to warn future workers and to prompt senior management to take action. The atmosphere in the Housekeeping department is extremely hostile due to a complete lack of empathy and the abusive behavior of two individuals: the department head and a supervisor who has only recently taken on the role. This new supervisor constantly abuses her authority and seems to take pleasure in humiliating and mistreating new hires. She lacks both patience and professionalism, and all of this happens with the backing of the department head, who allows these abuses to continue rather than correcting them.It is a real shame, because there is another supervisor at the hotel who has been in her role much longer and is the exact opposite: a woman with immense empathy who is extremely kind, patient, and respectful toward all the staff—especially the new hires. Unfortunately, the work experience becomes unbearable due to the arrogance of the boss and the new supervisor. I hope hotel management pays attention to this, because they are losing valuable employees by failing to put a stop to the abusive behavior of these two individuals.
