Pros

matching 401k good health and dental benefits discount hotel rooms some hotels offer free meals (becoming a thing of the past) amazing people to learn from (depending on the hotel you work for) good opportunities for personal growth but you have to get people's attention. hotels are so short staffed that there is not as much time to mentor as there was in the past again some places, really empower their employees and let them take care of the guest and do whatever it takes

Cons

ever since blackstone bought hilton it hasn't been the same the bottom line is highly scrutinized... the pay BLOWS but the benefits are good the environment depends on the hotel and the senior management steering the ship teams are really lean, people often are working their job + someone's job who was laid off a few years back some hotels have the environment of a high school some managers can be so stressed because of the new management from blackstone that they are very stressed and micromanage because they don't know how to handle it some hotels are so "cost efficient" you have little opportunity to wow the guest
