Pros

1. They have great benefits! 2. Very good compensation plan

Cons

1) They don't pay for overtime work. In fact, if you've worked more than 8 hours on monday, the next day, you will have go home early to make sure that you only worked 40hours a week. 2) You work rotating shifts (daily!) and has work on weekends. It's not a problem working on weekends but on sundays, they don't have airconditoning on, because the building's AC is off! I've asked before and the manager says that it costs the company about $10,000 extra on their bill if we have the AC turned on during sundays. So we are working on a stifled, hot, musty building and we can't open the windows because it's fobidden by the building admin since they say that someone might jump. 3) No teamwork spirit. Managers & supervisors have not been creative in getting the team to bond professionally and achieve goals as a team. I see everyone are just out for themselves, they don't share good business practices so that new and old employees can benefit from what they've learned. In effect, it has decreased team productivity and quality of work 4) Not enough training. They train you to use the computer system (VOICE) and other technical things, but they don't train you on the side of sales, rebuttal and customer service. I have worked in previous call centers and they give regular training on all aspects of the job so that you can always be "sharpened" in your daily job responsibilities. My impression of how they treated you after training is, throwing you to the wolves. All of my co-workers have felt the same way. Some of them have complained and although the management "welcomes" feedback, we rarely see them do something about the issues. 5) Lack of support from management. I am frustrated by this because whenever you have problems with a guest, management prefers you to handle it yourself. Of course I understand that you have to be able to be a problem solver and I do agree that you need to initiate to solve it. However, there are some cases that management has to really take care and more often than not, I see the managers try to avoid dealing with the guests themselves which is part of their job. I feel that I don't have sufficient "backup system". You need to concentrate on selling but how can you do that when you have a lot of paperwork to do?

Pros

Can make good money. Great benefits from day one. 177 hours of PTOA the first year. Goes past 200 hours after that.

Cons

In call transfer, you have to check off many boxes to hit your bonuses. Which can be exceptionally difficult. 15 sales a week, 160 calls taken, 7.15 to 11 percent conversion (dosent sound like a lot but its difficult) its not about how many sales, but your conversion. Difficult to hit conversion bonus. No sales, hang ups, etc. All good against your conversion. I had a 10 hour workday with 3 days off which was great. But its very difficult to have 40 calls (15 min each) every day. I had about 60 calls a day which went against my conversion. I later found out many people would put their phones on break which you're not supposed to do. But that's the only way it works. 5 calls an hour max. You really have to be in that sweet spot. There is an element of luck and being good with sales. I sold a lot. More than the average rep. However I made less money because I took more calls as well. So there were people who had considerable less sales than I did but who made more than I did because their conversion looked higher on paper.
