Pros

1. I enjoyed the shareholders I supported. 2. Hotel discounts were nice.

Cons

My experience at Holiday Inn Club Vacations was unfortunately quite negative. Here are some of the key issues I encountered: 1. Toxic Team Dynamics: One of the most significant problems was the toxic atmosphere within the team. Interpersonal conflicts and a lack of collaboration created a hostile work environment that made daily tasks stressful and demoralizing. 2. Apathy from Senior Leadership: Senior leadership seemed indifferent to the issues faced by employees. Their lack of engagement and failure to address team concerns contributed to a pervasive sense of dissatisfaction and frustration. 3. Low Compensation: The pay at Holiday Inn Club Vacations was notably lower compared to similar roles in other companies. This discrepancy, combined with the other negative aspects of the job, made the compensation seem even more inadequate. 4. Lack of Development Opportunities: There were minimal opportunities for professional growth or learning. The absence of development programs or career advancement options made it difficult for employees to feel valued or motivated. 5. Inconsistent Direction: The company frequently changed its direction and goals without clear communication or rationale. This inconsistency created confusion and hindered productivity. 6. Hostile Work Environment: The overall work environment was hostile, characterized by frequent conflicts and a lack of support from management. This made it challenging to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively. 7. Poor Medical and Dental Benefits: The coverage for medical and dental benefits was inadequate, with high costs that made it difficult for employees to afford necessary care. The lack of comprehensive benefits added to the overall dissatisfaction with the employment experience. 8. Loss of Core Values: Holiday Inn Club Vacations has lost its core value of genuinely caring for its employees. The focus has shifted primarily to financial gain, neglecting employee well-being and morale. This shift has further contributed to a negative work environment and diminished trust in the company’s leadership. Overall: My time at Holiday Inn Club Vacations was marked by significant challenges, including a toxic team environment, low pay, lack of professional growth, and indifferent leadership. I would not recommend this company to prospective employees unless significant changes are made to address these issues.

Pros

You get exposure to different sales styles, personalities, and ways of handling guests. Some coworkers and leaders were genuinely supportive and wanted to see people improve. It can be a good place to build and learn how to think on your feet. The earning potential is there for the right person and the team environment itself can be fun and energetic at times.

Cons

Training and coaching experiences can vary depending on leadership style. Success often depends not only on effort, but also on access to mentorship, tour volume, and real-time guidance. Communication and expectations between departments did not always feel fully aligned, which at times created confusion around development and performance goals. During slower seasons, limited tour flow can also make it difficult for newer representatives to build consistency and momentum.
