The work itself: straight-forward. Work it like it's your own business with integrity, honesty, and commitment and you'll do just fine.
Cons
Field work comes with weather-related challenges. This isn't a con, but prospective employees should not be surprised when they find themselves working in rain/snow/extreme hot/cold Managing a route can get stressful if you don't organize yourself and put effort into planning/forecasting. Expect to work some Saturdays, and/or use your Saturdays to catch yourself back up on your route weekly. Your route is your business/ income to manage.
