Pros
I voiced my requests for accomodation in regards to scheduling per my church responsibilities & at the time, upcoming misionery duty. All were agreed upon & upheld to this day. I previously worked in the retail business with sports memorabilia but found the transition (training process) challenging & useful. Had in-depth training via modules online, ride alongs with sales team, sales managers, & even a technician. Employees have a voice. If we agree or disagree with how something is done, as long as we voice our opinion to the proper authority and offer a reasonable remedy to the issue or topic, we overcome the obstacle and move on. If it fails, we change plans until we find the resolution we're seeking. Walking into our sales room is like walking into a dugout---my team's got my back.We have frequent, short but sweet & encouraging meetings a few times a week. We probably laugh as much as we work and so far we've surpassed our monthly goal twice in a row.
Cons
The culture is rapidly changing. The saying goes," You can't teach an old dog new tricks." If you have difficulty committing to a new regime, multi-tasking and working with new opinions then this job is not for you. Like any job or career, you'll hate it if you're only doing it for the benefits. If you dont plan to commit, dont plan to work here. period. By this I'm not saying that Cons dont exist b/c there's no such thing as the "perfect job" with "perfect conditions." How can we expect change in our work environment unless we speak up on the issues at hand with the proper authority? If you have a mouth to speak but dont use it, it's on you.
