Summer heat brings fast employee turnover/burnout
If someone calls out everyone is expected to take care of their work on top of their own{i.e. working late or in some cases working Saturday}
Mandatory Saturdays will happen out of nowhere. This is not a company thing its just other Field Managers from different construction companies will call us at 5pm on a Friday and say "oops this has to be done before Monday otherwise your tech will have to do their work in an insulated house".
Insulated houses- sometimes the FMs wont even call us and we will show up to a job site and have to *carefully* pull the insulation which can add 30min to an hour and a half extra time on top of you having to do your job.
Our job is considered an "optional addition" to the job site. meaning every other trade will break your lines or FMs will forget that your job exists and will drywall up a house before you get there.
DRUG TESTS - this is a light construction job that does ACTUAL RANDOM TESTING. I am not joking, there is an algorithm that determines how many and whom will be tested that month, they also test before hire and if your get into an accident, but again this is the only job i have ever had where they use ACTUAL RANDOM TESTING.
Overtime is pretty much required until you can install Taexx in your sleep. The job quota will remain the same for awhile until you can handle 2 installs a day {about 3 month timeframe} then they will start to add more and more on you per day to see what you can handle. some builders do many homes of around the same shape and size, while others build massive customs homes. you will be allotted the same amount of time per day for those. your co workers will be pest control technicians making around double what you make, you can transfer into that after about a year but you must have someone replacing you in the installer department. the raised are capped at 5% but usually only hit 5% if someone wasn't getting paid right in the first place so expect 4%
corporate structure means "always improving" just company lingo for "No matter what you do, how high you jump, how late you stay, how much you help others we will always ask more from you"
