Pros

Bacon Predictability Steady career track

Cons

Unbelievably sexist - as in, the way they avoid sexual harassment issues is to not promote women into areas where known harassers are operating. To be clear, they know where these people are, and instead of doing something about their behavior, they work around it by limiting the "targets" they put within these men's reach. Heard this first hand on a sexual harassment call. The diversity and inclusion board they were so proud of was composed of 23 white people and 1 POC. During one company conference, a consultant, a woman of color was presenting and made a point that very few of the attendees had bothered to talk to her while at the resort. One of the managers piped up that yes he had, he asked her for towels the previous evening. To great laughter.

Pros

I love working at Hormel, its easy to say but this really is a tight knit family culture, the people are what make this company awesome. I am given the freedom to express my skills and perform to the best of my availabilities without anyone looking over my shoulder. Hormel gives their employees the room and space to shine, the tools and support to grow and develop. The sky is truly the limit here as far as how far you want to go if you are willing to commit and work hard.

Cons

I dont think its a con however, some might. In some cases you may need to be willing to move to different cities or states to progress your career, however the company will pay to move you.
