Pros

I commend the company for offering good benefits.

Cons

Culture warrants attention... It seems that there is a growing concern about the company's culture, particularly in light of recent changes such as making 4 days in-office work mandatory. This approach can feel more like an imposition rather than a genuine effort to foster collaboration and engagement. Senior Leadership Needs Attention... Additionally, there appears to be a perception among employees that senior leadership tends to show favoritism towards certain individuals. This can create an environment where issues are overlooked, leading to frustration and disengagement among team members. Conflict Resolution Starts at the Top ... Moreover, while I appreciate the initiative for mid-management to receive conflict resolution training, it feels as though this responsibility is not equally shared at the senior leadership/Director level. A more balanced approach where senior leaders/Directors actively engage in coaching and addressing conflicts would undoubtedly contribute positively to our workplace dynamics. Seasoned Employee Exit... Finally, it is concerning to see valuable tenured employees leaving the company. Their departures may be indicative of deeper cultural issues that we need to address collectively.

Pros

I love working at Hormel, its easy to say but this really is a tight knit family culture, the people are what make this company awesome. I am given the freedom to express my skills and perform to the best of my availabilities without anyone looking over my shoulder. Hormel gives their employees the room and space to shine, the tools and support to grow and develop. The sky is truly the limit here as far as how far you want to go if you are willing to commit and work hard.

Cons

I dont think its a con however, some might. In some cases you may need to be willing to move to different cities or states to progress your career, however the company will pay to move you.
