Hudson Valley Credit Union

Engaged Employer

One of the worst financial institutions to work for - Contact Center Representative Hudson Valley Credit Union Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay for a call center

Cons

Promised advancement that never happened despite exceeding expectations. People are promoted based on who they are friends with (or happen to be sleeping with), not their performance. Bilingual specialists are not held to the same expectations as others and are unfairly given opportunites despite using profanity at members and not identifying them since nobody performed quality assurance on their calls because it was in another language which is very discouraging. The scheduled hours are constantly changing.

Pros

Big promote from within mentality for entry level, supervisory, and low level management

Cons

If you are an experienced professional, with 10 to 15 years of experience, but you are not high level leadership, you will struggle to get promoted over an internal candidate, even when the job is in your area of specialty.
