Pros

I really enjoyed working here. I think it's still one of my favorite jobs that I had. The hours were always reasonable. You work between 8-7 M-F and they have Saturday hours from 9-5. I don't think it's too awful. The management was really great. From the supervisors to the call center manager, I have to say I was really impressed. They ALWAYS give you feedback in some type of sandwich approach. Even when you might not be performing too well, they compliment something. The sales approach isn't aggressive here. Yeah, you have to push things, but as long as you offer, you won't get spoken too. Maybe some kind of coaching which is a little annoying, but they aren't going to bother you. GREAT training (three weeks!) Most important, wages are fare.

Cons

Breaks are cancelled when the call center is busy (always). You're graded on all of the call stuff. How much time you're on a call, hold time, answer time, if you went to the bathroom. Kind of annoying how much you're watched. VACATION. Like the other person on here said. If you aren't there the day vacation time opens up, don't plan on taking a vacation. Even if you ask a manager after, they probably won't give you time off. It's awful. Monitoring of phone calls/screens. Incredibly micromanaged, but for some reason it didn't bother me too much. NEVER a break from phone calls. You might get a 5 second break in between calls, but it is ALWAYS busy. Prepare for high stress and the occasional miserable member. However, coming from another bank I have to say that HVFCU members were usually quite nicer. The new point system - Call out, late, etc. gets you points to get fired. Granted, you have to be sick/call out often, but it's still nerve racking.

Pros

Big promote from within mentality for entry level, supervisory, and low level management

Cons

If you are an experienced professional, with 10 to 15 years of experience, but you are not high level leadership, you will struggle to get promoted over an internal candidate, even when the job is in your area of specialty.
