Pros
I've been at Virgin Hyperloop One for almost two years. It's definitely been a wild ride but there's nowhere I would rather be working. Yes there are ups and downs but it's amazing to contribute towards such an exciting mission. This is a place where you can see the impact of your work quickly and people are open-minded to new ideas and welcome new perspectives. People here are constantly looking at themselves and our processes and asking "how can we do this better?" - I've learned so much from being here and have had exposure to projects I never originally thought I'd have interest in but tried them anyway and found skills I wasn't aware of. Every day here is different, it's fast-paced with a lot of moving parts. Tons of room for growth here as well! I've learned more here in almost 2 years than I have at any other role I've spent more time at. I'm definitely sympathetic to some of the negative reviews written here, but I also believe people are more likely to write frustrated reviews than positive ones and that everyone's experience is unique
Cons
Keeping things in perspective, this is a young start up working on tech that hasn't ever been created before. There's still a lot of ambiguity and that type of environment isn't for everyone. I understand some people having discomfort with uncertainty and staying patient while some of the kinks get worked out - but if you focus on the long-term goal, it's easier to withstand some of the nuances of start-up life.
