Pay and professional development opportunities

Cons

The administration is accountable to nobody and unprofessional towards teachers and students. Principles of kindness are not modeled, and it is routine to yell at and insult kids. Admin sets poor examples for teachers, and the only things they care about are boosting staar metrics. Students are genuinely better off in public schools, at least for high school.

Pros

Teachers had a positive attitude toward each other and worked as a team. There is extensive training in classroom management at the beginning of the year and clear consequences for students.

Cons

When you interact with HR, you are reminded that you are just a number. They do not treat you as a valuable employee. You are asked to send your questions to emails, and you're not able to get someone on the phone. Their communication is confusing and they are not helpful.
