IDEA Public Schools reviews

Wow, when you have more teachers quitting each year because we are over worked, not appreciated for the job that we do daily, micromanaged daily, and belittled. When you have the principal treat the teachers as if they arent doing their jobs is horrible. You cant and dont have a life outside of IDEA because you spend more time doing script practice twice a day and meetings every week. Working 50+ hours a week doesnt leave you time to spend with your own family or just have a life of your own. You have principals that dont do their jobs but put everything on the teachers to do. You have principals that dont understand the culture or environment we work in and let alone cant relate to the students. Too much favoritism and over looking great teachers which makes those teachers leave.

I wouldn't wish this job on anyone. The workload is impossible. Work/life balance simply doesn't exist. The amount of hours that you're physically required to be there is hefty (~50 hours per week), and additional work on evenings/weekends is also expected. I never look forward to going to work.
