Pros
It’s a inspirational place to work with passionate people. 99% of the teachers I’ve met are the hardest working teachers because we have huge academic gaps we fill. Our students are great because we work on culture. I love my job because it is always challenging and always changing (which works for me). There’s a ton of support from everyone and there is always someone that can help coach you to become a better teacher. The company is also expanding like crazy and you can grow into almost any position you want (like a principal) within 5 to 8 years if you work hard.
Cons
You will work hard—expect that. This is not a job for people that want the regular 40 hours. You will take work much more work home vs a reg public school teacher because you will be driven by your goals and you will want to help your students.
