Pros

Making friends and working with children from all ages. Only other good thing about these schools is the type of content instruction they have placed.

Cons

It looks like the company doesn't know how to manage. They give preference to Teach For America people. They try to make you feel that the outside districts are worthless. The school has the same type of children as the regular schools. Also, they don't like to ruin their reputation (been incidents-tons of them). They treat children like at war soldiers (every little thing they have to do perfect which realistically we are not ALL perfect). It is performance-based, they can fire you whenever they want. All schools are run differently. They yell at the kids constantly. Very demanding. High-Stress. Principals are double-faces with employees. Teachers do the same amount of work as co-teachers. Co-teacher just get paid less. They want to put substitutes responsibilities beyond what they are not trained for. They even pay substitutes less than outside districts. Trust me, you will feel way better working at a District outside of this one!!

Pros

The organization is one that is so easy to get behind, and that gets behind their people. Our staffing team is one of the best out there.

Cons

Working in the education world is tough, as you’re normally as a rule trying to do more with less.

Pros

Teachers had a positive attitude toward each other and worked as a team. There is extensive training in classroom management at the beginning of the year and clear consequences for students.

Cons

When you interact with HR, you are reminded that you are just a number. They do not treat you as a valuable employee. You are asked to send your questions to emails, and you're not able to get someone on the phone. Their communication is confusing and they are not helpful.
