Pros
The students are the best part of this job. The flagship school in Donna is a great place to work.
Cons
The senior management is horrible and does not have students' best interests in mind. They force every high school student at most campuses to take AP tests, no matter if the students are prepared, in order to boost IDEA's national ranking (national school rankings are based on the number of students who take AP tests, NOT the number of AP tests students pass). The management at almost every school, Donna excluded, is atrocious. Management makes life harder on teachers in almost every way. The managers are rarely qualified: most spent roughly two years as teachers and many failed as teachers. But yet they still tell you how YOU should run your classroom.
