Wages are a bit higher than comparable traditional public schools.

Cons

Extremely long hours, excessive professional development, scripted curriculum, no room for independent thought among experienced teachers, no tolerance for family emergencies - IDEA is your family -so say "goodbye" to your real family Teachers are held more accountable for student success than students or parents

The organization is one that is so easy to get behind, and that gets behind their people. Our staffing team is one of the best out there.

Pros

Teachers had a positive attitude toward each other and worked as a team. There is extensive training in classroom management at the beginning of the year and clear consequences for students.

Cons

When you interact with HR, you are reminded that you are just a number. They do not treat you as a valuable employee. You are asked to send your questions to emails, and you're not able to get someone on the phone. Their communication is confusing and they are not helpful.
