Pros

Competitive pay, good benefits, not a bad culture and general environment at Ravinia (HQ building near 285). Everyone who's moved from the data center (Alpharetta) to Ravinia says that it's a completely different, and much better, environment.

Cons

I was generally unimpressed with Tom Conophy as the CIO. He was insulting and disrespectful to some of the groups under him and that's just unacceptable from a leadership position. IT at IHG had some very good technical folks but management never seemed to have a cohesive plan and different VPs were often running off in opposite directions. In particular the data center (DC) was often treated like an unwanted step-child and senior management in the building is completely lacking in leadership. They're nice enough folks to chat with in the hall on the rare occasions they leave their offices but their game plan seems to be "don't make waves". Unfortunately, that doesn't get much done. They're understaffed and the general mood in the DC is gloomy, largely due to disorganization, a constant stream of "we need this tomorrow" projects and lack of support from the aforementioned management when you try to push back.

Pros

Great place to work. At times work can seem chaotic with too many things going on at once but overall, the employees make the work environment and most everyone I worked with were incredible individuals to work with.

Cons

Lot of changes happening all the time which I guess is to be expected but can sometimes be unorganized and chaotic at times. It really depends on the leadership.
