Pros

Good learning experience for junior engineers.

Cons

People can be categorized as: 1. Grumpy employees hired for a long time. They are smart but are stuck at Inrix due to granted options. 2. Short tenured employees looking for quick IPO cash. 3. Employees want to keep an easy job. Inrix took advantage of Microsoft's lost decade - so that they could hire some of Microsoft people cheap by touting tantalizing IPO possibility. In fact, I would question management's capability and sincerity of bringing Inrix to a reasonably good exit. Management failed to seize the opportunity of autonomous driving car. Complacency (possibly due to the fact that Inrix generates a seemingly stable cash flow.) and incompetence are everywhere. During my time there, I have only seen one email from CTO, who I have no idea what contribution he has made to the company in recent years. (How big is Inrix?) Reset of option price was a joke to employees. The truth was that Inrix's stocks were diluted heavily when OpenCar was acquired, and thus the reset. Engineers were treated as fools in that event. It's ok though if one is looking for an easy job - especially to a savvy C# and backend services developer. Do not expect career growth though.
