Pros
This a very good company that cares about its employees. The vacation time and benefits are generous. The culture is easy to fall into as long as you try hard and take criticism well. The bank is the largest privately owned bank in Kansas but still has a small bank feel. Because we are privately owned the emphasis of our decision making is based on long term growth rather meeting the quarterly goals.
Cons
As others have mentioned the upward mobility at times can seem minimal. But this is not based on discrimate or negative attitude towards the young and inexperienced. This is an industry and company that to get ahead you have prove yourself regularly. It took a long time for me to make it into a credit position here. But that's normal now. I have never once encountered bullying but cliques and favoritism occur just like everywhere else.
