Pros

- Technically, you are paid, on time, without problems. - *SOME* Employees are genuinely lovely, however few and far between and rarely holding management positions. - *WHEN* you get to go to events, meeting C-Level leaders is great for networking and exposure. (Not often) - If you perform well, rules will not apply to you.

Cons

Where to start? The cons are significant: - Backstabbing nature, "in it for themselves" mentality from managers, teams are set targets that encourage internal competition, rather than collaboration. - Lack of enforcement of rules from upper management regularly causes problems and conflicts. - If you perform well, a blind eye will be turned to any mishaps - physical altercation, drunken behaviour, sexual harassment all included. - Ideas for solutions & Innovative ideas will be shut down. All comes down to money and bottom-line. - Management will continually shout about how much profit has been made in the month, but in the same breath deny you any kind of pay increase. - Misogynistic culture - uncomfortable watching female co-workers preyed upon by (young and old) men, and no action taken on account of the perpetrator's value to the company. - Opportunities for progression are fake - while the company will regular talk about the "Management Programmes" before any kind of pay-rise / promotion, while you will watch someone with no experience be promoted. - If you do get a management role, it will be a 10% increase in pay, with a 200% increase in amount of work & responsibility. - Lacking professionalism internally and on-site at events. - On event days, people are split between those who will be doing everything and constantly working to make a successful event, while the other half of people will treat it as a vacation and stand around talking and joking. - They have a whole department (Marketing) that is a complete and utter waste of time, when they ask Sales people to do marketing responsibilities. Marketing will regularly piggyback off of the success of every other department, and be rewarded by regularly being able to take 3hr+ lunch's, and do little-to-no work. Marketing will regularly take sales team deals to try and make themselves look better, thereby denting any commission you would have got as a sales member. - The work itself is generally easy, and can be quite monotonous. Manager's often don't have a clear or defined strategy, and will switch from one aspect to another week on week. - You will not get a raise (not even for inflation), you will not get a promotion, despite what they tell you. You will be strung along with promises of "having a chat" if you hit a ridiculous stretch target 3 months later. - Any discussions around progression will be dismissed and delayed endlessly. - Solutions and innovative ideas will not be supported, and in some cases actively shut down, due to office politics. - Huge amount of ego's in the room - Men strut around like peacocks. - Very political office. - Upper management actively discourages the open discussion of salary (note: this is illegal), primarily due to underpaying a significant portion of staff. IMPORTANTLY - You will notice that all of the positive reviews for the company fall in a short space of time, are 5 star and list false-negatives (Example's of Con's being, "I wish I had joined sooner" or "There are no cons"). After a lot of truthful negative reviews on Glassdoor, the company will regularly harass / coerce current employees to leave positive reviews on Glassdoor to try and whitewash the truth about the company. You will notice, that the positive reviews are short and sharp, yet somehow describe the place as a "perfect job" or something similar. Please treat these with scepticism; whoever wrote it received a £20 Amazon Gift Card (IQPC's favourite bribe) for doing so.

Pros

Title: Great company to work for with an agile and talented team Pros: Working as a Portfolio Manager at IQPC was a great experience. The company is incredibly agile and has a strong ability to adapt to market changes, which is vital in the highly competitive events and conferences industry. This adaptability allows IQPC to stay ahead of trends and continue delivering relevant and high-quality events. The people here are some of the smartest and most capable I’ve had the pleasure of working with — it’s clear that IQPC attracts top talent and fosters a collaborative, supportive environment. One of the standout aspects of the company is how much they invest in their rising talent. There are continuous opportunities for development, and the performance-based pay structure is a great motivator. It not only rewards individual contributions but also drives the company’s success as a whole. This culture of incentivizing high performance was one of the key factors in my own personal and professional growth while there. Overall: IQPC is a solid company with a lot of potential for growth. The leadership is forward-thinking, the people are sharp, and the culture rewards results. While the sales team dynamic might not be perfect, it’s a small downside in an otherwise great work environment. Would recommend to anyone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting!

Cons

Cons: Like many fast-paced companies, there is a bit of ego on the sales team. While this is somewhat expected in a high-energy, results-driven environment, it can occasionally cause friction between departments. However, this is something that can be managed with effective communication and collaboration. For junior staff it can be a challenging environment to meet deadlines.

Pros

people were nice enough to work with

Cons

I worked for SSON, our managing director liked to preach that they advocated for their employees, but I was let go, through no fault of my own per their words, after bad training and no real support for the new role I was taking on. Also, there is zero work/life balance despite being able to work from home 2 days a week, my team was exhausted and upper management did not care.
