Pros

* The growth potential is huge as the company has established a solid foothold in the evergreen security market. * Illumio is not too small to be fragile and hectic and not too large to be slow and sleepy. This goldilocks zone is perfect for building your career while keeping your sanity. * Exceptional awareness to work/life balance, driven by a well-managed release process. * People are happy to help and have plenty of patience for newbies. * The company is growing fast and this involves some growing pains; that’s normal and expected.

Cons

* The company is relatively small, so lateral movement opportunities are limited.

Having worked for organizations that are %E2%80%9Csmall, fragile, hectic%E2%80%9D and ones that are %E2%80%9Cbig, slow, sleepy,%E2%80%9D I agree that Illumio is in that sweet spot. There are times when we ask our employees to dive in but there are also times where we prioritize stamina. After all, we%E2%80%99re here for the long-game and we recognize that our team is the reason that we%E2%80%99re here in the first place. Your peace of mind is important%E2%80%94but also your enduring enthusiasm and determination. It%E2%80%99s what Illumio is fueled on. Thank you for the thoughtful perspective you bring to Illumio and the insights you%E2%80%99ve offered up here. We%E2%80%99re very fortunate to count you a member of our team.

Pros

Transparent, open culture – Illumio emphasizes honesty and direct communication, even on tough topics Recognition-driven environment – wins are celebrated across teams and employees are recognized by peers and leadership Collaborative + partnership mindset – teams operate with accountability and strong cross-functional alignment Inclusive and diverse workplace – strong emphasis on belonging, varied backgrounds, and different perspectives

Cons

High standards, accountability, and pressure to perform Not necessarily negative—but can feel intense depending on the team/role. Change happens often if you don't like change you will not like it here. I love change and I love that we are always trying to improve or be better. 401(k) plan without company matching- this is normal for our stage and employee count but candidates mention this alot. I wanted to flag it. They do give us a retirement savings account and mine is doing well but no match.
