Pros

* For a Valley employer they have terrific benefits * Superior solution looking for a problem to solve * The appearance of great people to work with * The appearance of growth

Cons

* Diversity is entirely absent from field sales (remarkably different from the inclusive approach taken by nearly every other employer today) * Leadership struggles with applying corporate values with reasonable consistency * If you are different from others you won't make it here, this company demands conformity without exception * Inexperienced management populates the ranks from top to bottom

Thanks for your post. Since you are currently working here I’d love to connect with you 1:1 and talk more about your observations, concerns and ideas. As leaders here we are far from perfect. As hard as we try to get things right, sometimes we don’t. One thing we can do is change things when they aren’t working and to do that we have to be open to feedback from the people on our team. Technology markets evolve in a predictable way. There are very specific stages that a product category goes through on it’s journey to a mainstream market. We’re on that journey. What’s not predictable is the time that journey takes. Sometimes it takes longer than everyone thinks it will take or hopes it will take. But, that doesn’t make it the “Betamax” of network segmentation. Our product and our approach to segmentation is now proven in some of the largest and most complex and demanding IT environments in the world – global banks, webscale tech companies and dozens of industry leaders. The product works at very large scale, accommodates a heterogenous environment and brings with it deep operational experience by our support, services and customer success teams. We are way past Betamax. Our field has diversity. Our stats show this. Could we do better? Yes! Do we intend to improve? Yes! One of this company’s core values lies in leveraging our differences. And that is as true for our field organization as it is for our entire company. I hope you’ll come and talk to us about your concerns and your ideas. We aren’t perfect and we don’t have everything completely figured out. But we are open-minded and eager for ideas that can make us better and stronger.

Pros

Transparent, open culture – Illumio emphasizes honesty and direct communication, even on tough topics Recognition-driven environment – wins are celebrated across teams and employees are recognized by peers and leadership Collaborative + partnership mindset – teams operate with accountability and strong cross-functional alignment Inclusive and diverse workplace – strong emphasis on belonging, varied backgrounds, and different perspectives

Cons

High standards, accountability, and pressure to perform Not necessarily negative—but can feel intense depending on the team/role. Change happens often if you don't like change you will not like it here. I love change and I love that we are always trying to improve or be better. 401(k) plan without company matching- this is normal for our stage and employee count but candidates mention this alot. I wanted to flag it. They do give us a retirement savings account and mine is doing well but no match.
