Pros

You cannot put a price tag on being a part of a family. This family is dedicated in word and in deed to making me the best person I can be, and not just professionally. ITT is about being a part of something bigger than myself, and not just a job where I have to give my precious invaluable time in exchange for money, It is about creating teams, opportunities, value for our customers, and resources for the employees. It is about friendship and fun, and about developing my own skills to become better at my job and at life. We build each other up and work each day to make our own lives more meaningful and fulfilled. For me, this culture is more important than the paycheck, and this team is more than just random coworkers. And I have worked for a lot of other companies.

Cons

In order to maintain the family connectedness and culture that ITT is about, ITT has severely limited remote work. I do enjoy going in to the office, and you can work remotely for limited times in extenuating circumstances, but yes, the flexibility of extended remote work is not possible here. The pay is somewhat less than can be found at other similar jobs, but I would like to mention that those higher paying jobs, much like higher-yield investments, come with greater risk. It is because ITT provides low prices to our clients that we have stable growth and do not have to lay off dozens or hundreds of employees when the economy dips. I am not dissatisfied with my income, but some people have felt so.

Pros

A lot of opportunities for young entry level engineers Unlimited RTO Great coworkers

Cons

There are only good opportunities for young engineers because there are very few sr engineers so they are forced to put young engineers in roles they are not prepared for. They don't want to pay sr engineers a salary that fits their resume leading to good sr engineers leaving or they put people in the sr engineer role that aren't qualified. The Sr Leadership in the US side are in an echo chamber. If another leader has differing opinions, then they are cut out of leadership and either put in a minimal role or are asked to leave the company. Sr leadership holds their influence tightly and if another leader with differing opinions gets too much influence, their role is significantly reduced. This has happened on multiple separate occasions at different levels of leadership The CEO had big promises that I was so hopeful for and believed so much in. But when push comes to shove, individuals are put on the back burner because of money and those promises are broken.
