Pros
- Mission-aligned team and products that are changing the way that elected officials interact with their constituents, and vice versa - No egos, just a team of smart and dedicated people that want to see the organization succeed - Incredible growth potential at a rapidly growing tech startup (I came from a corporate environment and this has been a huge, very welcome shift for me) - Constant exposure to elected officials and their staff in a client-facing role - Autonomy and accountability for your work
Cons
Startups move quickly and there will always be more to do than can be accomplished in a day or week. Communicate and set boundaries and the team will respect your work/life balance. Unlimited vacation doesn't hurt either.
