Pros
The product has potential and it's only going to get better. The goals for the future are clear. There are opportunities for cross-functional collaboration on new product ideas. The people who work here are the best thing about Indigov. The company is remote but it is pretty easy to get to know people, especially on your team. My manager and vp are really supportive and advocate for me. PTO is encouraged, and they are very transparent and honest about what's going on and they don't sugarcoat things. I think our team culture overall is really supportive and it's a big reason why people stick around.
Cons
The company laid off a bunch of people last year and now every team is spread really thin with very ambitious targets. If someone leaves it's really challenging to pick up the slack. There are few opportunities for promotion and high performers do not get raises or bonuses. If you are coming in hoping for title and compensation growth right away you will be disappointed. I will say there are a lot of opportunities to learn new things but you have to advocate for it. Professional services team is used as a band aid to cover up for all the gaps in the product. Benefits are just ok. No 401k match and no bonuses at the end of the year. Everyone gets stock options but it's unclear if they're going to be worth anything at this point.
