Pros

Not a single PRO left.

Cons

Where to begin? I'm sure you've all heard this place is a pyramid scheme, a cult, etc. - it is actually worse than you can imagine. This isn't coming from an angry employee, this is coming from someone who genuinely wants to let people know what they will be getting themselves into. When you first join the company, you start out as a recruiter and are pushed to get promoted in ~6 months to either a Professional Recruiter or Account Manager. The starting rate is ~$37k, which turns out to be around $30k after taxes, 401k and healthcare deductions. After you are worked to the bone with no commission for 6-7 months, you are then required to make the company an additional minimum revenue on a weekly basis BEFORE you get to see a dollar of commission. They preach all about taking care of their employees and lecture their clients that in this competitive economy companies need to offer $18/hr minimum because places like Amazon are offering high wages for entry level jobs....yet they don't even do that for their own employees. The wages are unlivable and they dangle the idea of possibly making 6 figures in front of everyone. To clarify, your commission is based on the weekly revenue brought in, whereas other sales jobs you have a yearly performance goal. Insight Global manipulates and gaslights their employees like no other. As mentioned before, they are constantly shoving the idea of making 6 figures down everyone's throats. They talk about how this is the ONLY place to see this kind of success. When someone quits, they will tell everyone that the person left because they just didn't want to work hard... yet refuse to realize people just don't want to work this hard for a $50k base (once promoted)....and don't get your hopes up for a yearly raise because that's out of the question at this company. This place preys on fresh college grads to brain wash them and take advantage of their willingness to work for $30k while they continue to run a MULTI-BILLION dollar organization. Your mental health will be tarnished at a place like this.. Probably why one of their benefits is free counseling.

Pros

Lots of virtue signaling. Halloween was huge.

Cons

IG has one of the most toxic workplace cultures I've experienced. Poor leadership, cliquish behavior, constant office drama, frequent verbal abuse, and an excessively loud work environment create a culture where professionalism takes a back seat. Success often seems less dependent on performance than on whether you're part of the "in" crowd. If a favored leader or influential employee decides they don't like you, your contributions quickly become irrelevant. Even when concerns are documented, supported with evidence, and raised through the appropriate leadership channels, employees can find themselves facing retaliation rather than resolution. Although the company advertises a hybrid work model, there is significant pressure to be in the office nearly every day, with employees who don't conform experiencing negative consequences. The company publicly promotes values around inclusion, respect, and corporate responsibility, but my experience did not reflect those messages. The gap between the company's external branding and its internal culture was striking. My direct manager regularly yelled, cursed at me, and made insulting remarks. Sexist jokes and comments from leaders were not uncommon, and management failed to address this behavior despite being aware of it. Instead of investigating concerns or holding people accountable, retaliation appeared to be the preferred response. After many years in the workforce, this was the most unprofessional and dysfunctional organization I've encountered. Before accepting a position, I would strongly encourage prospective employees to read reviews from former employees across multiple platforms and consider recurring themes carefully.
