Pros

A handful of decent and honest people.

Cons

-lied to in interview about pay expectation (but this is a sales org, so what should I have expected) -gaslit about a chronic illness that would keep me out periodically. Was told to “show more grit” -if the manager sends a text that doesn’t get enough interaction in a group chat, she would act like a child and intimidate the team to reply and interact with every text from her, including outside of work hours -as with sales organizations, management refuses to acknowledge market context which would cause the job to be difficult. Historically bad jobs market recently, and management maintains the same expectations and applies to same pressure for performance. -management DEMANDED gossip. If they discovered you kept something from them, work related or private, they would complain. -the pay is nearly at the poverty line for crying out loud -management plays favorites. Higher performing recruiters with more tenure would get overlooked for, to be totally honest, more sorority like personalities with less experience and performance -because of the above point, managers and leaders are often immature (as you can tell by the text message point) -went on a company trip that was mandatory, I had to share a room with someone I didn’t know, and ended up having to listen to the person having sex with another employee in the other bed The list can go on, but my fingers are tired.

Pros

If you are competitive and actually want to make money, the culture here is unmatched. They train you incredibly well from day one, so you never feel lost. The promotion path is super clear you literally get out what you put in. My team has been incredibly supportive and everyone genuinely wants to see you win

Cons

It's an absolute grind, not gonna lie. The hours can be really long, especially during your first year when you're trying to build your book of business. If you hate cold calling or can't handle high-pressure metrics, you probably wont't survive here

Pros

Lots of virtue signaling. Halloween was huge.

Cons

IG has one of the most toxic workplace cultures I've experienced. Poor leadership, cliquish behavior, constant office drama, frequent verbal abuse, and an excessively loud work environment create a culture where professionalism takes a back seat. Success often seems less dependent on performance than on whether you're part of the "in" crowd. If a favored leader or influential employee decides they don't like you, your contributions quickly become irrelevant. Even when concerns are documented, supported with evidence, and raised through the appropriate leadership channels, employees can find themselves facing retaliation rather than resolution. Although the company advertises a hybrid work model, there is significant pressure to be in the office nearly every day, with employees who don't conform experiencing negative consequences. The company publicly promotes values around inclusion, respect, and corporate responsibility, but my experience did not reflect those messages. The gap between the company's external branding and its internal culture was striking. My direct manager regularly yelled, cursed at me, and made insulting remarks. Sexist jokes and comments from leaders were not uncommon, and management failed to address this behavior despite being aware of it. Instead of investigating concerns or holding people accountable, retaliation appeared to be the preferred response. After many years in the workforce, this was the most unprofessional and dysfunctional organization I've encountered. Before accepting a position, I would strongly encourage prospective employees to read reviews from former employees across multiple platforms and consider recurring themes carefully.
