Wow. Where to start....The pay, after you factor in the 80+ hours a week you work leaves you making less than anyone else in the store. You are the contingency plan. If anyone (and I do mean anyone) calls in for their shift, you will be the one covering it. You will have NO life and can't plan anything because you may even be called and have to come in at 4am for internet connectivity problems...or anything. You will literally be called for EVERYTHING. There is no autonomy. You are micromanaged because the person over you (District Manager) probably doesn't actually know what all your job entails. If you choose to speak with someone about your extremely disrespectful DM you will be ignored. This individual will continue to run off excellent employees because of their poor professionalism. Again, don't bother planning anything because you won't be able to go shop on that ONE afternoon a week you are actually off because someone is going to call. While there are a few nice people on the Corporate level, as a whole it's just a no-go if you truly need anything. And their hours are the direct opposite of Store Manager hours, so, you know, say goodbye to the Sandman because he won't be coming to visit too often. I am unsure if Corporate honestly doesn't realize they have some absolutely horrible DM's or if they choose to ignore the problem. I figure it's the latter given how many Managers run screaming from this company. I mean, if you have a DM who is always having Managers to quit, it can't plausibly ALWAYS be the Managers. They stress accountability for their Managers and always blame all failures on whatever Manager is currently or was recently running a store. Then at what point does personal responsibility become a factor in this equation? I'm just saying. Run far! Run fast! RUN AWAY!!! This company is very young. There are mostly younger individuals working here. That's because they don't yet know their worth. But when they figure it out, they, too, run.
