Pros
Easy to learn job, great smells, occasional free cookie. My manager was a really nice person.
Cons
The hours were terrible. There were days where I would work in the morning from 8-10am, then get called in for a night shift from 8pm to 3:30am because a co-worker fell through. There were shifts I worked where I was alone in the store left to run everything. Meaning that I had to run the cash register, bake all of the cookies, put together delivery orders, and wash all the pans alone. Having a commercial oven loudly buzz at you while you are handling a line of 4 customers is stressful. The company is incredibly wasteful. We'd end the night shift with 20-60 cookies left unsold, and we were required to throw them all away. Under no circumstance could we take them or give them to the homeless. My co-workers were all terrified of being caught doing something wrong by the 5 cameras in the store. In our training, they all got the impression that the company was watching our every action. This was not the case. I got "undercover boss'ed" by the regional director working a shift at around midnight. He did not tip. Pay was not good.
