Pros
- awesome environment, 80% of employees are young, cool, and love music
- free VIP guest list to any shows (unless they are sold out, so probably not EDC)
- if you love music/edm, don't mind occasionally working a lot, want to have a career in the music industry, and don't mind a slightly lower than average pay, then it is your dream job
- if you make music, you will have so many opportunities to network you'll be overwhelmed so take advantage
Cons
- A bit unorganized
- if you're on a team that has to attend the shows (stage management, production, some finance, etc.) it sounds cool at first, but you are traveling many weekends and you essentially are on-call for the entirety of the festival. cool at first but gets tiring
- just because it's a party environment doesn't mean you can party on the job. maintain a professional disposition when you attend the festivals/shows for work and you'll be fine
