Safety can be overplayed to the point it is almost laughable. No one wants me to go home safe more than I do. Some mid to high level managers can be difficult to work with or under because they are unnecessarily confrontational or contrarian. I think this is a byproduct of the safety culture because managers are trained to key in on upset conditions and have trouble focusing on positives.
