Pros
Colleagues and co-workers are great! Intimate community feeling with inter-departmental interactions and support. New hospital is up to date and spacious.
Cons
Pharmacy leadership is lacking... big time! Decisions are made behind closed doors, and movement within the department is based more on behind door promises and favortism rather than qualifications. While the new hospital brought new toys (robots, software, etc) training for these new systems was almost non-existent (due to poor leadership and planning) resulting in numerous problems and delays at go live. Poor leadership has resulted in a very toxic and dense negativity within the department. There is a lack of trust for leadership which has contaminated trust between co-workers. Hours were very convoluted - 8, 10, 12 hour shifts with multiple start times; sporadic scheduling made it hard to balance personal schedule; schedule rarely out in timely manner. Little to no room for advancement within the department or system. Rather than mirroring the religious values, the corporate structure focuses on bottom line and not employee well being.
