Pros
A steady check every 2 weeks. Severance package when you are laid off.
Cons
Managers need leadership training. Most of them micro-manage and allow toxic behavior. They do not respect the people that do the work. The people are mostly very sharp individuals. Most are very professional, but some of the managers will not manage the toxic individuals. Some of the managers are toxic and are void of any soft skills. When they micro-manage their teams, they shoe their teams they do not trust the teams. The projects always seem to work better when the manager was not around. They often hate when you are not in agreement with them. If you do not agree with managers, even upper management, they will get rid of you. You do not have a voice.
