Pros

Interesting, Challenging work, Great immediate management (Manager, Director, VP)--the best I've worked with thus far in a long career, flexible work schedule/work remotely, dedicated technical operations and deployment folks

Cons

Exec/C-suite in eastern Washington don't get Silicon Valley work style/expectations, huge brain drain since Silver Spring Networks was acquired by Itron, compensation and bonuses lacking--especially for those of us regularly working 50, 60, 80 a week and weekends, management thinks simply a little hiring in less expensive regions (South Asia, Eastern Europe) will make up a vast shortfall in knowledge and experience due to brain-drain, Exec/C-suite refuses to recognize the reality/cause and effect of having teams constantly working is having on moral and people leaving

Thanks for providing your feedback. It sounds like there are two concerns – compensation and long hours. We strive to be competitive with our compensation while balancing the performance of the company. Sometimes there can be projects with deadlines that require longer hours.
