Overall, a great company to work for. Just a bit slow for advancement. - Keyholder J. Crew Employee Review

Pros

I've found at most stores people who really help you build your career with the company, if you put the work in. Connections are easy to make and prove beneficial.

Cons

Advancement opportunities aren't abundant and take more time than is desired. Starting pay wasn't great, but raises are appropriately based on merit.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
