Pros

I enjoyed my time working here. I learned a decent amount about sales and really got to improve my customer service skills. The shifts are short which is nice. The discount is amazing and it kills me to pay full price now that I don't work there anymore.

Cons

I had problems with inconsistency in management and their lack of organization. Mainly when it came to closing the store. We would be kept for over an hour straigtening and fixing minute details with one manager while another would do a scan and call it a day. I also felt the commission for the sales staff vs. sales support were unfair. I started as sales and then moved to sales support. When you are sales support you do not make commission, even if you sell something. You only get compensated for opening j. crew cards, which is much more difficult.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
