Pros

The management team at my store is wonderful, but I have heard that this is not the case at other store. You get an amazing discount and there was an opportunity to meet people at 770 (headquarters) if you have an interest in doing a corporate job. Everyone is super nice and passionate about the clothes.

Cons

Some sales associates get a little too competitive when it comes to sales since we do get commission. J.Crew's style is transforming at the moment and it is turning into something a lot of people don't want/understand.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
