Pros

Pleasant environment, nice merchandise (although that seems to be changing), decent discount.

Cons

Part timers really at the mercy of management regarding hours or rather lack of hours. Always hiring new part timers and then cutting hours. Many managers are mediocre and do not lead by example and do not really understand the flow of business. Absolutely no room for advancement and favoritism is certainly played. Lack of training of new hires is a huge problem and should be addressed at the corporate level. Constant discounting of merchandise is confusing to the customers and the quality seems to be decreasing along with the price points.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
