Pros

Good reasons to work here because the store hours for both employees and customers are fair. They close relatively early. The employees get paid weekly.

Cons

Challenges of working here was having to work and lift boxes in a button down shirt and tie even though you were a stock boy and not a sales person on the floor. Not much to really do in a small stock room. J crew located at soho. Trying to write people up for wearing no button down shirt and tie on the job even though manager said it was okay.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
