Pros
Your coworkers feel like family. Chance for incentives as hourly workers through pushing credit. Generous discount (as long as you use a JCP card or cash). There's a 401(k) (and now a Roth 401(k)!) that's available to part-time and full-time employees. There is certainly a new energy of "get things done!" circulating in the company. The new CEO believes in rounding out skills in every worker, meaning there's a greater focus on personal growth and job mobility.
Cons
We're still going through some changes to navigate us into better positioning for the online market, and changes come with some growing pains. Some systems to complete jobs are old and clunky, while others have been "streamlined" into being nearly useless. A long-term, dedicated consumer base means that a lot of older customers don't like the changes, and may take it out on workers. Hours can be volatile for part-time associates. Like most retailers, there are pockets of associates who don't take their jobs seriously and can greatly hinder your ability to perform.
