Pros
-Health Insurance thats about it
Cons
Organizational: There is no where to park- Employees have to scrounge for parking, spend 15 min waiting for a spot to open or park a mile away from the job. The payroll department is a joke, I have seen several people not receive MULTIPLE pay checks because of payroll error and they do not send a check when they mess up, you have to wait till the next pay period. Culture of JFK is terrible. It's like a bunch of highschoolers tattling on each other or trying to make each other look bad, you cannot avoid it even if you keep your head down, and leadership encourages it since they hire people that are not qualified to lead and who micromanage. VERY CHEAP. no free christmas eve or NYE off. have to use PTO. No holiday gifts, little to no bonuses. Position specific Only the bad people stay, I came into an environment where everyone was either immediately a bully/mean or just older people waiting coasting by until they could retire. You can report bullying to HR all you want and nothing ever changes. They hire new people to blame for not having any policies written down or any record keeping. I got screamed at by a leader in my first couple of months because they did not know a policy ( or any policies for that matter) and expected me to know it. There was no onboarding, no training period, just immediate chaos. Very poor quality in leadership, they are hired with little qualifications and do whatever they want. No rhyme or reason. Completely understaffed, no worklife balance, no ability to get immense amount of tasks done. Rampant burn out department-wide
