Better opportunities elsewhere! - Associate Jack Henry & Associates Employee Review

Pros

Hybrid is an option for those in proximity to an office (but not a requirement), Jack Henry has Business Innovation Groups which helped me feel more connected with Associates; flexible with taking time off/company preaches using your PTO, allows for cameras off in meetings, and there's a lot of group work rather than being alone on projects.

Cons

I am very happy I left this company! Jack Henry was not transparent about how much traveling would be done in a post-pandemic world. Not to mention, traveling always has to be done in the cheapest amount possible, regardless of how it is an inconvenience to you (ie: taking 6AM flights/ landing at 2AM just to save the company $50). To add onto this, they lack competitive pay. I overheard someone in HR (unsure of what specific department) once say they prefer to NOT hire someone from New York or California because they "ask for too much money", so it goes against the efforts of their Business Innovation Groups, especially JHAnywhere who tries so hard to push against location bias and preaching inclusivity regardless of location. Not to mention, that statement confirms they prefer to find candidates to do good work at the cheapest price possible. However, do NOT worry about the lack of pay because they will send you hundreds of dollars worth of "Jack Henry" branded swag which ends up being incredible wasteful and never to be used again like beer coozies to stress balls.
