Pros
Jack in the Box is a solid company to work with at Corporate HQ. I think they genuinely care about their employees and seek to improve. I think they had a lot of growing pains but seem to be in a better place. Compared to other places, I think they tolerate a lot of errors and some subpar performance. I know that it hasn't been everyone's experience, but my personal experience is that the HR team operated with integrity, objectively listened to issues, and laid off people with dignity when it was necessary. The C-Suite has mostly changed over since I was there, but it seems like the place is still quite afloat. I would work there again readily, and I would recommend it as a good place to work. I also think that they're very reasonable for work/life balance if you want that.
Cons
There seems to be difficulty in attracting & retaining the best talent because of pay in some areas, particularly in Marketing. The caliber of the talent overall could probably be improved. The other side of higher tolerance for subpar performance is being in a sea of some mediocre performance and some lack of accountability. If you're the type of person who can't stand to see inefficiencies and ongoing subpar performance from colleagues, then this might be a difficult work environment for you to be in long term. The franchisee relationship is also a difficult one.
