Pros
Great atmosphere, great managers, great co-workers. You can get time off pretty easily and there are no sales quotas or pressure to push the customers. Pretty relaxed atmosphere and we have fun interacting with the customers. The employee discount is pretty good.
Cons
If you are looking for a job to pay your bills, this is not it. You are only guaranteed 2 days a week or about 12-15 hrs/wk unless it's around the holidays. The pay per hour is fair for retail but the "raises" are ridiculous and they should be ashamed to give such small raises. I feel they could easily pay more but there is a definite greed I did not expect to see from a Christian based company. You can learn to do jewelry repairs and soldering but there is no extra compensation for it. The only benefit is that you get to sit down a few hours when you do it. They do not offer any kind of health insurance even if you are willing to pay for it yourself.
