Pros

Easy to sell the product. Pride in the product. Great benefits. Some stores have mall hours, some close earlier. Displays are easy to manage. You spend less time changing the store, and more time selling. The game is always the same. They know they have a great product, so they don't spend lot's of time trying every new retail gimmick in the book. Great vacation. If you have a complaint about hours, then try to move up. Store hours get cut all the time. Go sell something it will change. If it doesn't then you are now in the wrong location. Try to change stores. Sometimes new stores open and can really hurt a current store.

Cons

Schedules are not made early enough. Consistency with schedules can be a problem. This is retail, but realize most of your full time employees are not teenagers. It would be nice to count on certain days off. I have no problem getting vacation, but my boss always seems put out. I go when the schedule permits. But, the Store Manager never seems to want to be there. And that's if he/she shows. I take schedule time off. He/she calls in at least twice a month. Or just goes home early. This is the most consistent thing I can count on. Which brings me to my point. There are chances to move up. I actually have retained more retail experience than my store manager, but yet I haven't been able to move up. The main reason? There are too many qualified but not enough positions. The second reason? Nepotism. They all know each other. Don't complain, don't offer an opinion. Don't even call HR. Know one will ever know how lazy my boss is, because they would never believe it. (Or listen.) But in the end. This is a great job. There is just a very small future.

Pros

It can be decent pay

Cons

Other than getting a pay check I can't think of anything here that is a Pro. Lousy culture, lousy people, management sucks, benefits suck, the Avery family is hoity toity.
