Pros
Good working relationship with HR, Operations and other executives like the CEO. Great benefits but not the compensation.
Cons
- Accounting is treated like robots - No structure - No work life balance (60-84 hours a week) - Manual process (printing invoices, chasing for approval etc.) - No proper training provided and lack of professionalism. -Low compensation - Other department is really demanding without trying to implement their own process to improve tracking their own expenses. They tend to just go to accounting and expects us to provide the answers or numbers. This is such a tedious task as it accumulated for number of months/years. Also comparing to the number of employees from their department, accounting is overpowered as there are only 1-2 people who does the legwork that the work is already overwhelming but yet because of the incompetency of others which hopefully the management can pay attention to those who cannot perform and handle their own department. There are new positions hired but questionable on why their salary is much higher than accounting who is basically underpaid and more competent.
